FytoFend S.A. is an innovative spin off from the Research Unit in Plant Cellular and Molecular Biology (URBV) of the University of Namur.

The company was created in 2009 and is specialized in plant protection by elicitors (natural stimulators of plants defenses).

Use of this preventive biocontrol product

This innovative product contains an active substance (called elicitor) that induces in plants the mobilization of defense mechanisms against invaders. Once preventively stimulated, the plants are able to fend off pathogens more efficiently when they show up, without any risk of resistance build-up, residue or toxicity.
